We have been talking about moving Jackson to a big boy bed for awhile - but we wanted to see how he would transition with the move (and being upstairs, etc.). Last week, on Jeremy's day off, he turned Jackson's crib into a big boy bed (full-size bed). We have been reading
Corduroy a lot - and the little girl who brings Corduroy home has a big girl bed - and Jackson kept pointing it out to me. So, we talked a lot about what his room would look like and where the bed would be. He was very excited when he saw it!
So far, he has done great in his big boy bed. He has not yet figured out that he can get "out." I told him to call for us when he was ready to get up in the mornings - and so far he has done that. What shall see how long that will last!!!! I'm just waiting for the day when I open my eyes and see him standing next to my bed. :)

Cute new room! Yep, prepare yourself for that day when he shows up! Gavin slept in his bed for months (at least 6 months or so) before he decided he wanted to get out on his own. We were still asleep and it was dark and I hear and see our door opening but I couldn't see him. Next thing I know, there he is standing at Cory's head. It scared us both!!! Now he does that every weekend morning!
Congrats to you guys with the big boy bed success!!! Yay, Jackson! Wish our story were the same, but not so much;) Will was all about his new found freedom. FYI: a newborn is a piece of cake compared to a 2yo. just in case you were wondering. *wink, wink*
