Henry's 1-year Stats

Henry went for his 1-year-old check-up and shots today. He remains our little guy! He only weighs 19 lbs 7 oz (which is still the 5th percentile), but he is 30.25 inches tall (60th percentile). He has always been small, but since he is still growing taller and remaining in the same percentile, the doctor says everything is fine! He did comment that Henry seemed to be pretty independent. Ha!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was so much fun this year. Henry and I actually went and woke up Jackson - he woke up saying that he thought he had heard a thump on the roof that was probably Santa. :) We stayed at home in our pajamas all day long! The boys had a great time playing with all of their toys. We videoed their reactions to their Santa stuff, but later in the morning I took some photos of them together.




It's hard to surprise Jeremy with gifts, but we did! Jackson painted the grass and the boys' fingerprints are the ants, but the owner at the Painted Pig did the rest. Jeremy loved it!

Christmas Eve

We celebrated with my family on Christmas Eve this year. We headed over on Saturday morning to exchange gifts (Jackson could hardly wait). Then we had lunch and relaxed with family. Before we knew it, it was time to head off to our church's Christmas Eve service.


Mom was determined to get a picture of everyone this year. . .


Jackson was super-excited to leave out cookies for Santa (Henry was already in bed when we did this)!

Henry's 1st Birthday

Little Henry is 1! Our invitation said: "Come hang around and have some fun, our little Henry is turning 1!" Amazing how time flies. We had a family celebration today and Henry had a great time. He helped a little bit with opening his presents and then dug into his cake. We got some great pictures!












Cousin Katherine had a fun time pushing Henry - and even gave him a little birthday kiss.

Santa

Jackson is finally okay with Santa. :) He has literally been terrified of Santa since day one. Never wanted pictures with Santa (I forced it for 2 years and left it alone last year since I was VERY pregnant and not up to wrestling him). This year, I talked it up to Jackson by saying, "I need you to introduce Henry to Santa and show him how big boys sit in Santa's lap." Amazingly, it worked. One of our friends had us over to their house for a Santa party. Jackson was nervous when we first got there, but saw some friends talk to Santa. He was then ready to go. He told Santa he wanted a new light saber and some Hot Wheels cars. And then smiled for the camera! :) Henry didn't cry, but he wasn't sure about Santa.

Katherine's 1st Birthday

We celebrated our niece's 1st birthday in south Arkansas and had lots of fun. Katherine enjoyed looking at her new toys, but wasn't really sure about the cake. :)



Since Katherine wasn't too sure about the cake, Aunt Glenda and Grandmother thought they'd let Henry try it out.
