Peabody Ducks

Late Saturday afternoon, we headed to the Peabody to watch the ducks. As most of you know (from a previous post), Jackson likes ducks and quack quack sounds. :)
My co-worker's (Sandy) daughter is working at the Peabody this summer. Sarah made sure that Jackson saw the ducks up close!
Sarah introduced Jackson to Duckmaster Lloyd! He said that maybe one day Jackson can be an honorary duckmaster. Oh, the things to look forward to! :)
Sarah even told us where to stand so that we could see the ducks the whole time!
Here they come!
Then Sarah took us up to the roof so that we could see the duck palace! Thanks, Sarah, for making Jackson feel special (even though he was being shy).

Gavin's Birthday Party

Saturday afternoon, we headed to Gavin's 1st birthday party! Gavin's mom (Cassandra) and I work together. Jackson says, "Happy Birthday, Gavin! Thanks for inviting me to your birthday party! Gymboree was so much fun!"
Jackson and Gavin for a brief second.
Gavin not so sure about the cake (he really wanted the candle)!
Two of our co-workers made the cakes! Cassandra calls them the "Crazy Cake Ladies"! Great job, Amanda and Andrea! Top layer was chocolate and bottom layer was vanilla. Yum!
Fun times!

The Wonder Place

Jackson & I met Noah & Ashley at the Wonder Place on Friday night. It was chaos! Very crowded and overwhelming. We'll have to go back again when it's a little more calm. Jackson ran in circles while Noah played. There is a water play area and I just knew Jackson would love that. Boy was I right. Jackson totally soaked the mom standing next to him (and she was wearing a white t-shirt). I was so embarrassed - and she was so wet. :) All of the other kids at the water area were calmly playing in the water (while keeping it in the table), and my child was throwing water out of the table! Yikes!!! We quickly moved on to another activity (although it took some coaxing from me to get J away from the water table).

Museum of Discovery

Today Jackson and I met Shannon, Noah and Avery at the Museum of Discovery. They have a new exhibit for kids 6 and under - we had a great time! We stayed for 30 minutes after Shannon and her kids left. Jackson did not want to leave - he even threw a mini-fit when I put him in his stroller to leave. :) We'll be going back soon!

Sweet Avery lovin' on the doll.
Noah sitting on the cow! I feel like I'm going to turn around and Jackson will be this big! (Noah's going to turn 4 in a couple of weeks).
Jackson loved these blocks. . .

Summer Vacation

Well, our summer vacation has come and gone! Jeremy and I went to Florida with Jarrod and Heather - and Jackson spent his "vacation" at Mimi and Grandpa B.B.'s house! We all had a great time - now we're home doing laundry and getting unpacked. (Although Mimi sent all of Jackson's stuff home clean! Thanks, Mimi!). We stayed in a condo/townhome right on the beach and the location was great. So, on our last night there, we walked out to the beach to take a few pictures before heading off to dinner!

Jackson had fun with bubbles in Mimi and Grandpa BB's backyard! Thanks so much for keeping Jackson - he had a great time and I can tell now that he's been spoiled!! :)
Judson (well, Aunt Heather & Uncle Jarrod) - I LOVE my camo crocs! Thanks so much! (Can you tell that Mimi took Jackson to get a haircut? It's too cute!)

Happy 4th of July!!!

Thanks Uncle Jarrod and Grandmother for playing with me! I love my water table!
I know it doesn't look safe for him to be sitting in the table, but we were all right there watching him (and I will try not to let him do it again).

A couple of sidenotes:
1. Yes, I know that Jackson's swim diapers are too small, but I'm too cheap to just get rid of the size smalls we have right now. I promise when we run out, I will buy mediums. :)
2. We now realize that we should have just bought a pool for Jackson instead of the water table. He loved it at his friend Will's house, but evidently today he decided it would be more fun to SIT in it rather than stand by it and play. :)
