Halloween 2010

Whew! What a busy, but fun Halloween. Our church carnival was this afternoon and Jackson had a great time - it's fun to see how much he has come out of his shell. Last year he was still a bit timid, but not this year! He had a great time seeing his church friends and his old school friends. Then we headed home to eat a quick dinner and trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. We ended up going with our neighbors, and Jackson had a blast!

And after we got home, Jackson was so excited to help give out candy to the trick-or-treaters at our house. :)

Big Brother Class

I've had lots of friends tell me that their child enjoyed the Big Brother/Big Sister class that the hospital offers. We thought it'd be good for Jackson to be a little bit familiar with the hospital where his little brother will be born.

Making a birthday card for little brother

Showing me that he was holding the baby just like his teacher said
(he'd told me on the way there that "only girls played with baby dolls")

Telling me that the baby was getting heavy
(this drew a good laugh from all the parents)

Not really sure about how this diaper works. . .

Or how to swaddle the baby. . .

Taking a tour of the hospital and seeing a "real" baby in the nursery

"Graduating" from Big Brother class!

Boo at the Zoo

After Grandparents Day, Mimi, B.B. and I took Jackson to Boo at the Zoo (Jeremy had to work late). He had a great time - except he kept asking why all the animals were asleep. He was wanting to see them!

Grandparents Day at School

Jackson's school had Grandparents Day and they did a short program and had brunch. Jackson was so proud to show Mimi and B.B. his classroom and introduce them to his teacher and friends. He is really settling into his new school very well!

Jackson and his teacher, Ms. Mandy!
(he really loves her even though he's not smiling in this picture)

End of Soccer

Jackson ended up loving soccer (he wasn't quite sure at first)! This was our last night on the field, and the boys were so excited to receive their cool water bottle. :)

Pumpkin Patch with Judson

Jarrod, Heather and Judson came up to go to the pumpkin patch with us. It was very warm, not exactly the fall feeling at the pumpkin patch (plus it was very dusty because of the lack of rain). . .But, overall the boys seemed to enjoy it.

Pumpkin Patch with Jackson's Class

All of the PreK3 kids at Jackson's school took a field trip to the pumpkin patch. The kids had a great time, and I realized that those teachers have SO much energy. :)

Jackson's teacher, Ms. Mandy, is always making fun little scrapbooks for us! She made this for us shortly after the pumpkin patch field trip! Too cute!

Pledge of Allegiance

I overhead Jackson saying the pledge the other night in his room. . .so the next day, I asked him if he would say it on video for me. Here is his dramatic pledge. :)
