We headed down to Camden to celebrate our nephew's 4th birthday and had a great time. I got more pictures of Henry and his cousin, Katherine, than I did of the birthday boy! Happy Birthday Judson - we love you!
Henry's baptism was this Sunday - Father's Day! I am so glad that Henry was able to share his special day with his daddy. He was "introduced" to our church family, and he did great. Big brother Jackson even did a great job standing up in front of the church with us. :) All of our family came to church with us, then they all came over to our house for lunch. We had a great day celebrating.
Henry is 6 months old today! Wow, where has the time gone? He was trying to sit up this weekend, but would fall over fairly quickly. I got to his school to pick him up today - and he was sitting up and playing! His teachers said he had been sitting up like that all day. :) We came home and tonight Henry was showing Jackson his tricks. Immediately Jackson asks if now he and Henry can take a bath together (I've been telling him that when Henry starts sitting up they can take a bath together). Love it that he is so excited about his little brother. Henry goes to the doctor for his check-up next week. I'll post his stats then! At Henry's 6-month check up, he weighed 15 lbs 8 oz (12%) and was 26 3/4 inches long (56%). Little guy compared to his big brother! :)
Memorial Day weekend we made a quick trip to Dallas to meet Carole Beth (my best friend/college roommate's daughter). We had a great time! Jackson took the photo of me, Henry, Mandy and Carole Beth. Mandy and Tommy have a great playground in their neighborhood and Jackson had a blast playing! Sunday afternoon we went to the Rangers game. It was HOT - but our seats were in the shade. The boys did great - and Henry and I found some air-conditioning in the Hall of Fame for just a little bit. In the middle of the game, Jackson asks us, "Why are their mommies and daddies not out on the field helping them?" Jeremy and I couldn't hide our laughter. We told him that when you get big you don't have to have your parents out on the field with you! (lessons from 2011 tee-ball) :) Mandy - we had such fun seeing you, Tommy and Carole Beth! We loved seeing your house and loved getting to meet/hold Carole Beth. She is so sweet. I can't wait for CB and Henry to grow up and get married (ha ha!). Love you!
We were married December 13, 2003. Our first son, Jackson Garrett, arrived on March 9, 2007. Our second son, Henry Brooks, arrived December 14, 2010. We hope you enjoy reading about our family!
