A Very Busy Weekend!

Whew. We definitely had a busy weekend! Jeremy worked, and Jackson and I attended birthday parties, got a haircut - and J even had time to visit Grammy (my grandmother who is in rehab/hospital).
Guess who was at Sybil's 2nd birthday party? J's birthday twin, Sydney! (or "Cindy" as J calls her)

Sydney loves to give hugs and kisses!
Jackson and Jude hanging out at the park. . .
Playing ball at Patterson's 2nd birthday party
Fun times at Luke's 2nd birthday party
Luke, J and Virginia (school friends)

Helping Grammy get some fresh air!

Bags and Shoes

Jackson loves moving his bags around - he has to have them in just the right spot turned just the right way (hmmm, wonder who he gets that from???)

Jackson is also obsessed with shoes. He loves to put on his shoes, Jeremy's shoes, and my shoes! Of course, I only have pictures of him in my shoes! :)

The Zoo

Jackson's school was closed on Monday because they did not have any electricity (lots of wind and rain here leftover from the hurricane). The weather was sunny and cool, so we decided to meet some friends at the zoo. Will and Jackson had fun seeing all the animals and baby Ben just hung out in the stroller.

Play and Eat!

Kelly, Parker and Mackenzie came over for an impromtu visit on Saturday morning. The kids played and played - and then Kelly and I decided to take them to eat at Chick-fil-A. Food, fun, and play - what else could you ask for? Thanks for stopping by, guys!

Parker giving Jackson a "hug" One of our attempts at getting the boys to sit on the couch to pose for a picture. Ha!
Jackson watching to make sure Parker wasn't messing up the computer. (J loves to watch one of the Mickey Mouse clubhouse songs on YouTube - can anyone sing the Hot Diggity Dog song with me??? He will ask you to "please" play it over and over and over and over. . .)
After food and play at Chick-fil-A, we had to take naps! Time to go!
P.S. I did not get any pictures of Mackenzie, but she was so sweet! She is such a big helper. She got some new cowgirl boots yesterday and she was proudly wearing them - too bad I didn't get a picture of those!

Birthday Twins at 18 Months

Sydney and Jackson are 18 months old! Lauren and Sydney came over to play for a little while on Saturday afternoon. They shared, played and laughed. And Lauren and I talked and laughed - as usual!

Jackson played peek-a-boo with Sydney and she thought he was hilarious!

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Happy 31st Birthday, Jeremy! Jeremy's work had a celebration for him - complete with this cupcake Razorback cake! How fun! Jeremy - thanks for being such a great daddy and husband. We hope you have a GREAT day. We love you, Melissa and JacksonJeremy was supposed to be in Austin this weekend for the Arkansas vs. Texas game, but since it was cancelled b/c of Hurricane Ike, plans changed. The guys weekend continued on, but the location changed. The weekend should include lots of golf (hopefully not too much rain), just no Razorback football game. Hopefully everyone will have a good time!

18 Months Old

Jackson is 18 months old today! We went to the doctor: Jackson weighs 28 lbs 13 oz and is 34 1/4 inches tall. He has jumped back up to the 75th percentile for weight and 90th for height. The doctor says she's not worried - he's just a big boy. Basically, our 18 month old is the same size as an average 2-year-old boy!

He did not want to be at the doctor's office today (and he didn't even have to get any shots). Dr. Freeman asked him if he would open his mouth so that she could look in his mouth - and Jackson very strongly said "NO!" She sort of laughed and went on to a different part of the examination. Of course, she ended up getting her way by the end of our visit (we had to make him mad).

Packing up our bag to go to the doctor this morning.
Examining the sticker that Nurse Jeannie gave him. . .(he was looking at her like he wasn't really sure about what she was offering him).
Reading books. . .
Look how big he looks in his big boy jeans (thanks, Noah)!

Fun with Daddy

I get to have so much fun with Daddy (especially when Mommy is not around). Daddy lets me drink juice boxes - and not sit in my highchair while drinking! We just hung out while Mommy was gone - sitting in my chair (in just my diaper), drinking my juice box and having fun. Daddy told Mommy that I sort of made a mess - but she didn't need to worry because we cleaned it all up! Daddy even took pictures of the evidence. . .

I Heart NYC

Maggie,
Thank you so much for my shirt! I love it! It's a little big, but makes for a good nightshirt right now. I wasn't being very cooperative when Mommy was trying to take my picture, but I do like the shirt. Thank you for thinking of me while you were busy with your internship in NYC this summer! Love, Jackson

Jackson and Judson are Big Boys!

Grandmother, Aunt Glenda, Jarrod, Heather and Judson came up to visit. As always, we had a good time, were worn out at the end of the day, but ended up getting some cute pictures of the cousins.

Getting a picture of all 4 boys proved to be a difficult task. . .See what I mean?
Where's Jackson?
There he is!
