Boys Weekend

While I was in Austin with my college roommates, Jackson and Jeremy had a fun boys weekend! It started off with ice cream on Thursday night. . .Yummy - ice cream, gummy bears and sprinkles. :)

Then Friday, Jeremy took Jackson to see Playhouse Disney Live!

After seeing Mickey (and Pooh, Tigger, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, etc.), Jeremy and Jackson headed out to spend the weekend with Uncle Jarrod, Aunt Heather and Judson!

Girls Weekend 2009

Since college, my roommates and I have tried to get together at least one time per year. So far, we've been successful - of course, we have been creative with the time and place (let's not mention last year's destination). . .This year, Mandy found us a deal on a spa in Austin! I flew into Dallas and then we all rode down together. As always, we enjoyed every second together - from the spa to watching movies in bed to eating all weekend long! Although we live in different states, I am super-thankful for these great friends - the Lord really knew what he was doing when he orchestrated our rooming situation. All of our different personalities mix together in a great way. Love you girls!

We stopped in Waco briefly for lunch (and to buy Jackson some Baylor gear), so my cousin Sara met us for a quick lunch! She is currently a Baylor student, so I'm sure she thought we were super-old. :)

I just got back from a fun girls' weekend in Austin with my college roommates. We stopped in Waco briefly on the way down there to get some Baylor gear for Jackson (so my family would stop asking about Arkansas versus Baylor gear). :) A post to come about my fun time with friends - and Jackson/Jeremy's fun time (having to wade through pictures). . .

Happy Birthday, Jeremy!

Today was Jeremy's birthday! It was a crazy, busy weekend, but a good one. . .
Jeremy - Jackson and I hope that you had a great day. We love you - thank you for being such a great husband and dad.

Our family friends had a "Burgers and Baggo" party for my brother and his soon-to-be wife today at lunch - Jackson played with the bean bags inside (it was raining)!

Jackson was a little confused about the party. On the way, he said "Going to Uncle Matt's party and Daddy's birthday party?" :)

Saturday night, we met Kelly & Mackenzie at Chick-fil-a for dinner. Too bad Parker was helping his daddy get ready for deer season. Mackenzie told us that Parker was going to be sad that he missed out on the fun. :)

On Saturday, we also went to a fire truck birthday party for our friend, Noah.

He went right up to have his picture made with the fireman, but then was Mr. Serious.

Jesus Loves Me

Jackson loves to sing! I snuck my phone into his room one night before bedtime to record him singing "Jesus Loves Me." All you will see is black (dark room), but you'll hear him singing. Probably only our family will truly enjoy this, but it is so precious to hear his sweet voice singing these words. :)

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great, long weekend - spent time with family (sorry, no pictures) and got things done around the house. One night, we made pizzas. Jackson had so much fun making and eating his pizza.

Daddy took Mimi's ticket to the Razorback game, so Mimi hung out with me and Jackson. We watched the game on TV!

Jackson wore his jersey to school on Friday and he was so proud (he is currently obsessed with the "football boys" at the high school that we drive past every day). :) He walked into his room, straight to his friend Caroline.

Baseball Players

One night earlier this week, Jeremy suggested that we go to a baseball game. As soon as it was mentioned, we had to go. Jackson was super-excited and READY to go right then (we got there right as the gates opened). He was afraid that we were going to "miss the baseball players."

We met Mimi and B.B. at the game - such fun!
