Schools were closed on Friday and our church is closed tomorrow - still ice underneath our snow! We had fun outside this morning. . .

Big Boy Bed
We have been talking about moving Jackson to a big boy bed for awhile - but we wanted to see how he would transition with the move (and being upstairs, etc.). Last week, on Jeremy's day off, he turned Jackson's crib into a big boy bed (full-size bed). We have been reading Corduroy a lot - and the little girl who brings Corduroy home has a big girl bed - and Jackson kept pointing it out to me. So, we talked a lot about what his room would look like and where the bed would be. He was very excited when he saw it!

So far, he has done great in his big boy bed. He has not yet figured out that he can get "out." I told him to call for us when he was ready to get up in the mornings - and so far he has done that. What shall see how long that will last!!!! I'm just waiting for the day when I open my eyes and see him standing next to my bed. :)

Birthday Twin Fun
Sydney and Lauren came over to play in Jackson's new playroom yesterday! Jackson was home sick with me on Friday (ear infection), but 24 hours after starting that antibiotic, he was back to his old self. The birthday twins had fun playing (and sharing, ha!) and eating lunch.

Teaching Sydney to play golf! She told Jackson that she wanted golf clubs for her birthday (hint, hint, huh?)! Jackson will be so excited to give those to her. . .
I can't believe they are going to be 3 in March. Wow - seems just like yesterday that Lauren and I were in making plans for their arrival. Now we're planning their 3rd birthday party! We are going to have a joint birthday party this year for Sydney and Jackson - of course, Lauren and I have already started planning (low-key and easy!). :)

Snow Day
Well, we got a dusting of snow last night, so the city decided to shut down! :) Seriously, I was a little worried when I woke up this morning, but realized that it was just snow after I went out to check out the driveway (thought it was icy at first). I started to get ready for work when I realized that Jackson's school was closed (I really didn't think it was a possibility)! So, Jeremy went to work and Jackson and I stayed home for our "snow day." He was super-excited to stay home one more day and play with Mommy! He kept telling me that his "school was closed and locked" - I'm sure he'll try to tell me the same thing tomorrow morning!!!

Good thing we went out to play in the snow at 9:30 am - the snow was melted and gone by mid-day!

Aunt Pat's Visit
Grammy's sister, Aunt Pat, comes every year from Ohio to visit. It takes Jackson awhile to warm up to people, but he always warms up to Aunt Pat quickly. This year, she gave him the Corduroy book and a stuffed Corduroy for part of his Christmas present.

We went over to Grammy's today to say goodbye to Aunt Pat. Thanks for letting us take over the apartment for a little bit! Love you. . .

Basketball
We went to the Arkansas/Baylor basketball game this past week. As you can tell, Jeremy dressed Jackson in his Arkansas football jersey! Jackson even wore a red hat into the arena ("just like daddy!"). The game was late - but Jackson was a trooper. He spent the night with Mimi and B.B. afterwards, so he was thrilled!

Of course, this popcorn kept him entertained (he ate almost the entire thing). :)
