"Aunt" Mandy Visits

My college roommate/best friend came to visit us this weekend (she lives in Dallas). She hadn't seen Jackson since he was about 8 weeks old, so he's changed quite a bit! :) We had a great time. Thanks, Aunt Mandy, for hanging out with us. We're so glad you came! Please come again soon!

Easter and an Egg Hunt

Happy Easter! Here are a few pictures from Jackson's 2nd Easter. . .We hope everyone had a good day.

Our church had an Easter Egg hunt yesterday for the kiddos. Jackson didn't know what to do, but we joined in the fun anyway. I imagine we'll be chasing after Jackson next year.

One Year Update

Here's a picture of Jackson in his big boy carseat. He typically loves car rides! We went to the doctor this past week for his one year check-up and shots. The doctor said that everything looked great and she'd see us back for his 15-month check-up. He weighed 22 pounds 15 ounces (had dropped down a bit in this percentile, but he's been sick and his diet has changed - no more formula - so doctor wasn't worried) and is almost 31 inches tall. Gonna be tall like his daddy. :)

Jackson's Birthday Party

We had a family birthday party for Jackson on Saturday! The adults ate barbecue, enjoyed playing with Jackson, and then watched him play with the tissue paper while I opened his gifts. Then it was time to dig into the cake - and he enjoyed the sugar. Happy 1st Birthday, Jackson! We love you. . .Here are a few more pictures for those of you who want to see more details. . .

Happy Birthday Matt and Emory!

Happy Birthday Uncle Matt - and - welcome to the world, little Emory! My cousin, Jeff, and his wife, Jill, had little Emory today. I'm sure they'll post some pictures soon. . .they're a little busy (see The Crownover link).

Jackson wanted to tell Uncle Matt that he is sorry he didn't get to eat some of his birthday cake tonight. Jackson is recovering from double ear infections and this weekend has come down with some sort of a stomach bug. . .so, we didn't go share our germs with Uncle Matt. Uncle Matt will have to just come eat some of Jackson's birthday cake next weekend!
