What a Weekend!

Whew. What a weekend! :) The weather was very nice, so we spent a lot of time outside. Here's an overview of what we did. . .

Went to the zoo and ran into Patterson and Luke!
Boy, those monkeys we watched were loud!

Rode the train (and the carousel) at the zoo!

Helped B.B. water Grammy's plants. . .

Enjoyed cupcakes with Will, Ben and Kate!
(Grandmother was in town and bought these fun "dirt cake" cupcakes for Jackson.
Kids point and grandparents buy, right?)

Swam with Sydney, my birthday twin!!!

Are they cute or what?
Don't they look so grown up here?

Played t-ball in the backyard. :)

And to end the weekend. . .Daddy took me to Baskin Robbins!

Trip to the Zoo with Judson!

Jarrod, Heather and Judson decided to come up for the day - so we took the cousins to the zoo! The weather was wonderful - couldn't believe how nice it was outside. Jackson and Judson were SO excited to see each other.

First Day of School (new class)

Yesterday was Jackson's first day in his new classroom and he did GREAT! I was shocked. He had been "visiting" his new teachers and new classroom and had not been a fan. So, I was prepared for tears and a meltdown. But, we talked and talked and talked some more about his new room and teachers and how fun it was going to be!! (It also didn't hurt that his friends are still in there with him.) :) He walked right in like a big boy and just got right down to playing. He even posed for a picture with his new teacher. . .

Jackson so proud of his school supplies

But prior to the first day of his new class, Jackson's school was closed on Tuesday (teacher "work day"), so we headed over to Will and Ben's house for some fun (which included the water table). These boys are so funny. . .

Play-doh Animals

Jackson has discovered that Jeremy has a fun talent: making animals out of play-doh. Jackson's favorite is an alligator. Mommy is no longer as fun as daddy with the play-doh. Oh well, those of you who know me know that I do not have any artistic talent. :) I must say that Jeremy also makes a great pig (curly tail and all). . .

Chomp chomp!
What creative boys I have! :)

Funny Conversations Part 2

On our way into church last Sunday (Jeremy was working, we were running late):

Jackson: Mommy, Mommy!
Me: Yes, Jackson? Come on, let's hurry. . .
Jackson: Mommy! Listen to my poo-poo sound. (He stops walking and then farts)
Yes, the people in the hallway around us were trying not to die laughing.

What we've been up to. . .

Warning: This is going to be a very random post. Basically I am uploading some funny pictures from my phone (some of them will be blurry). Here is what we've been up to lately:

Eating yogurt (and using my arm to block it from mommy,
no sharing/no help needed, thank you very much).
Playing the guitar with my friend, Luke.
Having fun with Luke and Virginia
(Jackson had a great time although it doesn't look like it).
Playing Guitar Hero with soon-to-be Aunt Molly
(Uncle Matt's house has such fun things)
Being silly with Mr. Potato Head pieces
Wrestling with Will and Ben

Fun at the Zoo

Since I was still on vacation last week, we took a trip to the zoo with Mimi! The weather was pretty nice for July, and we had a great time.

Jackson loved seeing all of the animals - on the way to the zoo, we asked him what animal he wanted to see first and he said, "Iguana!" Okay, so that was a little random, but we did find the iguana in the reptile area (Mimi does not like the snakes, so she waited for us outside). Jackson was so excited, we had to go in and out 3 times to look at it and then tell Mimi. Fun times!
