Jackson Meets Meg & Randy

My college friends, Megan and Randy, stopped by last night. They are moving back to Dallas from NYC, so they drove their HUGE moving van to our house so they could meet Jackson. They were able to play with Jackson for a few minutes, help give him a bath and help put him to bed. Then they stayed to hang out with me and Jeremy for a while. We are so glad they stopped by! Welcome back to the South, Meg and Randy! :)

Welcome Avery!

I finally got meet little Avery Jane. She was born on Sunday, August 19. I had planned to go over early last week, but with Jackson starting school, etc. it was just crazy. So, I got to meet her this past weekend. She is so sweet, and Shannon and Bryan are doing well. Little Noah is a sweet big brother.

Here is Noah enjoying his spaghetti. Yeah, spaghetti!

A Fun Wagon Ride Ends a Long Week

It's been a long week for us. Jackson started school on Monday - the first part of the week was pretty rough (Jackson cried a lot and hardly napped), but he began to settle into a routine by the end of the week. His teachers told me that he hardly cried at all on Friday - and he took 3 pretty good naps! It's just going to take a while for him (and me) to get used to the school routine. Our former neighbors invited us over this weekend, and Jackson rode (like a big boy) in Will's wagon. They had fun! Now we're going to have to get Jackson's wagon out. . .

Enjoying Dinnertime

Have you seen the movie "What About Bob?" The scene where Bill Murray is eating dinner and thoroughly enjoying it? "Mmmmm, Mmmmm, Mmmmm!" Jackson loves to tell us how much he likes his food. He's eating sweet potatoes in this video - but he also really likes green beans, squash and carrots! We're going to try peas again soon. :)

My Week with Jackson

Jackson and I had a great week! I took off work this week to spend some time with Jackson before he starts "school" on Monday. If you get a chance, say a little prayer for us on Monday morning that all goes smoothly (I'm a little nervous). Here are some pics of what we did this week. . .

Played with our feet. . . Played in our car. . .
Played in our exersaucer. . . Hung out in our pajamas. . .
Visited and played with Grammy. . .
Ate lunch with Mackenzie and Parker. . .
Hugged and played with Mackenzie. . .
Smiled and laughed at Mrs. Kelly. . .
Let Ted show us how big boys play!

High School Reunion

My high school reunion was this past weekend (you'll probably see lots of pictures on some of my other friends' blogs). We had a good time - Jackson got to see his birthday twin, Sydney, at the picnic - and he's still much bigger (surprise!). The rest of the pictures are from our dinner on Saturday night. I was not very good at taking pictures. There are a lot of people that I did not get pictures of! I guess I'm better at taking pics of Jackson than I am of my own events. Enjoy!

5 Months Old

I'm a little late on this post, but Jackson turned 5 months old last week. He loves playing in his little car (especially when Jeremy pushes him up and down our hallway) and can really entertain himself in his Baby Einstein activity center/exersaucer. I'm home this week with Jackson (Mimi had to go back to work and Grandmother stayed with him last week) - he'll start to "school" on Monday. I'll post some pictures of our week this coming weekend (hopefully). Enjoy the pictures below - Jeremy pushing Jackson in the car and our neighbor, Will, showing Jackson how a big boy would play with the car.

Cousin Judson Comes to Visit

Jarrod, Heather, and Judson came to visit yesterday. Jarrod and Jeremy kept the boys while Heather and I ran a few errands. Then we watched the boys while the guys ran around. It was pretty funny to watch Jackson's reaction when Judson would cry. We learned that Judson likes our swing! Thanks for coming to visit, Jarrod, Heather and Judson - hope it was a fun first road trip. . .
