Turtle
The other morning we were headed out the door to go to school/work. Jackson and I noticed a turtle right behind my car. We moved it over to the grass (out of the way) and Jackson did not want to leave it. Of course, I pulled out the camera. :) Good thing - b/c the turtle was gone by the time we got home and Jackson searched all over the yard for it!

Disney on Ice
I took Jackson to see Disney on Ice this morning (Jeremy had to work, so we had a fun mother-son outing). He had a great time - sat mesmerized for the entire show!

Jackson really liked watching the "truck" on the ice during intermission. . .
Totally exhausted (please notice that he fell asleep in the middle of eating a pretzel). :)

Jackson is funny
Jackson loves to say that people are "funny" - he talks about his friends at school being "funny" - and if he does something silly, he'll say "Jackson funny!"

Tonight I had a girls night out dinner with Kelly and Shannon. These girls have been friends with me for a long time (lots of fun high school memories for sure) and tonight they welcomed me into the 30s club. :) We need to do this more often. Thanks Kel and Shan (and thanks to our hubbies for keeping the kiddos while we all snuck away). . .

30 Years
Today, I am 30 (it sounds so much older than 20-something). I got a card from Matt & Molly and another card from Mandy - both were different, but played the same Tim McGraw song. Jackson loves to dance to the song. So, enjoy the video of Jackson (I promise you will enjoy this more than seeing a video of me dancing to the song). :)
Tim McGraw's lyrics:
I think I’ll take a moment, celebrate my age
The ending of an era and the turning of a page
Now it’s time to focus in on where I go from here
Lord have mercy on my next thirty years

Palm Sunday
Today, Palm Sunday, was a sweet day for the children at our church. The toddlers lined up on the playground (which overlooks the courtyard) and the older children gathered in the courtyard (covered parking area b/c of the rain), all with palm branches in their hands. Then we watched Jesus ride through the courtyard on a donkey. The older children and adults were yelling "Hosanna" and really understood the story and what was happening, but it was a neat experience for all.

May we all take this week to reflect upon the Easter story. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die for me. And THANK YOU, Lord, that he rose up from the grave so that we all might live.

Our Fun Saturday
This morning, Jackson and I met Sydney and Lauren at the zoo. The kiddos had a good time - we saw a lot of the animals, rode the train and watched a show about birds (Lauren and I learned a lot, and the kiddos just ate a snack and looked at the birds flying over our heads!). Then we went to Chick-fil-a for a quick lunch. Jackson really did have a good time - although I just realized he is not smiling in any of the pictures. . .

After a nap, we headed over to see Mimi and B.B. They were out working in the yard, so we had fun with bubbles and enjoyed checking everything out.

This is the way to blow bubbles. . .Have Mimi get you fixed up in a comfy chair and then just push the button on the dog - no blowing required. Just sit and watch the bubbles. "I do it" is one of Jackson's favorite phrases these days.
