Sunday Afternoon Attempt

Our Sunday School small group had planned to go to the Arkansas Travelers (minor league baseball team) game on Sunday afternoon. We attempted to go and take Jackson - but we didn't make it out of the parking lot! I'm not really sure what we were thinking. . .it was pretty hot and sunny and Jackson was NOT a happy camper. Maybe we'll try a night game next time. Oh well, at least we tried! :) Needless to say, we did not get any pictures of Jackson in the parking lot at the baseball stadium.

Here is my favorite picture from this weekend. . .

My neighbor, Nicole, and her little boy Will always like to go walking with us! Late Sunday afternoon I finally got Jackson settled down (he loves to sleep in the sling that Mimi got me), and Nicole & Will wanted to go for a walk. The weather was nice, so we went! Needless to say, I did not change into my walking clothes for fear of waking Jackson. So, here is a picture of me in my dorky sling - I know it's not cool, but I'm for whatever works! And Jackson loves to sleep in the sling, so I'll continue to wear it. . .

Jeremy's Baby Picture

Since everyone says that Jackson looks like Jeremy, I thought I would post a picture of Jeremy from when he was a baby.

Jackson is Smiling

Here is a short video of Jackson that was taken with the new camera that we just bought. It is not a camcorder, so the quality may not be that great, but you can see that Jackson is starting to smile a lot more and is getting cuter every day.

A Busy Week!

We had a fun and busy week! On Wednesday, we went to my office - Jackson got to see Robin and Sandy again. They held Jackson (he was a little fussy because he was tired) while I ate lunch! They could not believe how big he is! It was lots of fun. . .
Uncle Matt came by to visit on Thursday! He helped change Jackson's diaper and get him dressed for his pottery painting "date" with Sydney. . .

After Uncle Matt visited during his lunch, Jackson & I went with Sydney & Lauren to paint pottery! We had a great time even though Sydney and Jackson didn't really "enjoy" having their feet painted. Their footprints turned out so cute - and I'll post the results once we pick up our finished products. Hopefully they will turn out okay (most of you know that creativity is not my strong suit). Thanks again for a fun time, Lauren & Sydney! (my camera batteries were going out, so Lauren has the pictures of us painting - I'll post those later)

Today, Merrit & Greer came to visit us! Greer was so sweet and just couldn't figure out why this "thing" next to her was crying. . .Jackson was hungry. . .surprise, surprise! :) Thanks, Merrit & Greer for lunch - we had a great time and can't wait to meet up again!

A Fun Week!

We had a fun week - we were able to see a lot of my high school friends and their kids. Enjoy the pictures below. . .
We met Merrit & Greer, Lauren & Sydney, and Keri & Caroline for lunch on Friday. We definitely took over the restaurant! Thanks, Keri for helping me change Jackson's diaper on the bathroom floor (Keri sang "Jesus Loves Me" to Jackson trying to keep him calm). Definitely an experience for a first-time mom. :)
Jackson was crying during the pictures, and sweet Caroline reached over and patted him on the leg. I did not capture that on my camera, but it was very sweet. Caroline is going to be a great big sister to Carlee (coming soon).
The Birthday Twins (Sydney and Jackson sleeping as usual)
Jackson got to meet Cameron (born 2 weeks after Jackson) at Keri's diaper shower on Saturday. Everyone kept saying they looked like twins - I think it's because they both had on blue gingham overalls and lots of dark hair!

Jeremy got out the camera before I left for the shower. Jackson looked so cute in his big boy overalls.

Mobile Fun

Jackson developed a little cold this weekend, so he's been a little fussy (he is so congested - I know he's having a hard time breathing)! I was trying anything and everything to keep him happy, so I laid him down in his crib and turned on his mobile. He loved it! He laid there just watching the little trucks go round and round. Jeremy got lots of pictures.

Melissa's Birthday Weekend

My birthday was Saturday and Jackson rewarded me by sleeping very well on Friday night! Jeremy's family came to Little Rock on Saturday, so since they were here, they kept Jackson for a little bit. Jeremy and I went out to dinner to celebrate my birthday (we went to Ristorante Capeo and it was great!). Jarrod (Jeremy's brother) helped with Jackson, but for some reason we didn't get a picture of him giving Jackson a bottle! Sorry, Jarrod! Thanks for keeping Jackson. He loves the attention. . .Here are a few pics from Saturday:

Golf Outing

Forgot to post this last week. . .Jackson made his first trip to The First Tee! Jackson and I hung out and watched Jeremy hit golf balls. Jeremy thinks Jackson really enjoyed it. I know he can't wait to get him a set of golf clubs!

Ice Cream Date

Jackson and Sydney had their first ice cream "date" at Baskin Robbins. As you can see, the kids napped while Lauren and I enjoyed ice cream and chatted. Thanks, Lauren for a fun afternoon! I can't wait until Jackson and Sydney are "awake" and can interact with each other. . .

Jackson's First Easter

Jeremy's Sunday

Jeremy's dad's tombstone was placed this week. Jeremy met his family at the graveside on Sunday to spend some time there. We miss Mr. Wolfe, but we know that he is looking down on us and is enjoying watching us with little Jackson.

The Elders Meet Jackson

My aunt, uncle and cousins (from Shreveport)
came to Little Rock this past weekend to meet Jackson! We had a great time - and Jackson got lots and lots of attention. Uncle Randy kept Jackson while we went shopping (Sara found a white dress for her high school graduation, Becca found a white dress for her 8th grade graduation, Sara found a prom dress, and we also found shoes). We got lots done! And then Uncle Randy found a new use for my boppy pillow (see last picture below). . .

Future Pharmacist?

Jackson received a gift from the UAMS College of Pharmacy! A cute little t-shirt that is a little too big right now (he'll grow into it pretty soon, I'm sure).

And here is a pic we took last week of Jackson in his Baylor outfit. There will be lots more Razorback pictures to come, so I thought we should get a Baylor pic while we can! :)

More pictures

Here are a few pics from today. Jackson before we went for a walk. . .

Jackson after we went for a walk. . .

Just a cute picture. . .

Play Time

Yesterday Kelly dropped by to say hi to Jackson! She had perfect timing because I needed help. Jackson was fussy, so Kelly calmed him down while I took a shower and ate lunch. I was trying to get ready to take Jackson over to Lauren's to meet Sydney. I'm not sure we would have made it without Kelly's help! Thanks, Kelly!!

After Kelly left, Jackson and I headed over to Lauren's house to hang out with Sydney! Casey and Reese came over too - we had a great time. Sydney and Jackson are "birthday twins" - Jackson was born on March 9 at 7:30 am and Syndey was born at 7:30 pm. Needless to say, even though they are exactly the same age, Jackson is much bigger! He's definitely eating. . .Thanks Lauren and Casey - we had so much fun. Jackson looks forward to seeing his girls again soon.
