Soccer - Fall 2012

Jackson has had a great time in fall soccer this year. We have practices on Wednesday nights (and some of us have started walking while the kids practice - great time for exercise, and Henry loves riding in the stroller!). Games have been on Saturday mornings, and the kids seem to be picking up on the concept a lot more. In fact, coach has had to get on to the kids for keeping score and "announcing" it to the other team. Learning about good sportsmanship. . .

Razorbacks

Mimi and BB took Jackson to the Razorback game here in Little Rock. He had a good time, but told me that "Uncle Matt and BB kept yelling and being frustrated." :)

Labor Day Fun

We had some golfing fun on Labor Day! Henry and I drove in a cart and watched the bigger boys play. Henry will be out there playing before we know it.

1st Homework Assignment

Jackson's first homework assignment was an "All About Me Poster." He was so very excited to have homework, but that enthusiasm quickly faded as he realized that I was going to make him write every single letter/word. Aunt Heather and I did help him color (I made him tell me what colors to use) to speed up the process. But, it did take a long while. . .

Cousins

Jarrod, Heather, Judson and Katherine came to visit. They spent the weekend and the kids had a great time playing and being together. Silly kiddos!

Henry's Toddler Class

Henry has moved up to the Toddler class! He has the same teachers that Jackson had at this age. He was showing out for me in the pics below, but he really loves Ms. Dee. His other teacher, Ms. Maria, said to me after having Henry for one week, "Henry seems much more, um, independent than Jackson!" :)

Kindergarten

Jackson started kindergarten today! Wow. We have been reading "The Night Before Kindergarten" for a week or so - Jackson asked me if I was going to cry like the parents in the book.  He then told me it was okay to do "a little cry, but not a big cry."  I felt okay dropping him off - teared up just a little as I saw other parents leaving the school SOBBING! He was so excited to be there. Told me tonight that his favorite thing so far was working at his desk! :)

It was fun for all the kids to meet and/or re-unite!

Mimi's Birthday

Mimi turned 60! Molly and I thought we'd get the kids together to get a nice photo that we could frame for Mimi. Easier said than done! I think I took almost 100 photos and only had 1 or 2 that would be halfway decent. Henry was not cooperating (as you'll be able to see from the photos below). We had planned to get together again to do another photo-shoot, but then Henry got a black eye. . .and then it was Mimi's birthday!
