Christmas in July?

Is it Christmas time yet? Last December when I was pregnant, my mom and I bought some cute Christmas sleepers for Jackson - figuring that he would wear 9 month clothes. Oops! Here it is July (well, almost August) and he is already fitting into these pjs. Mom brought them over yesterday thinking that he might need to wear them in the early fall. I took them out and realized that he needed to wear them now! Don't worry - the pjs that I bought for him (also 9 months) are still too big for him. These must run small. . .The ones I bought he'll probably be wearing in October. :)

Fun Weekend

Jackson looked too cute in his little church outfit this morning, so we had to get a few pictures.





















We had so much fun at Kelly and Parker's Sip & See. Parker is so precious - I just can't wait for Jackson and Parker to start playing together. I'm sure we'll be in for some trouble. And thanks to "Aunt Autumn" for keeping Mackenzie and cousins (Chloe and Harrison) entertained!

Worn Out

Last night we couldn't even finish our bedtime routine before Jackson fell asleep. He was eating his bedtime bottle and when I sat him up to burp him, he was out! Of course, Jeremy had to run to get the camera. After this, I put him up on my shoulder to walk back to his bedroom. He was out - laid his little head down on my shoulder. Then Jeremy says he pulled up, opened his eyes, let out a big burp, and then immediately put his head back down - eyes closed - and was out again (all in less than 5 seconds). Jeremy nearly died laughing. I wish we'd caught it on video.

Mama Visits Jackson

My grandmother (my mom's mom), Mama, came to visit last week! She and Mom had a great time with Jackson. And as you can see from the swing picture, they wore him out. :) Parker Reddin even dropped by my mom's house to visit, and Parker and Jackson had to endure a photo shoot. Thanks for coming to visit, Mama! Jackson had a great time with you.

Lunch with Emerson

Denise and Emerson met us for lunch today. Jackson was a little fussy during lunch (he was sleepy), but I was able to get him to take a little nap in his stroller while we shopped! Thanks Denise and Emmie - let's get together again soon. . .

Dinner with Sydney

Jackson and I met Lauren and Sydney for dinner last week. We hadn't gotten together since I went back to work, so it was fun to catch up. Of course, Lauren and I talked and talked - and the babies let us do it. :) It was fun to see how big they have gotten - and how much they both love to smile and drool. We'll have to get together again soon!

A Big Day!

Jackson went to the doctor today for his 4 month check-up/shots. He weighed in at 16 pounds 14 ounces and was 25 3/4 inches long! He's definitely a growing boy. . .He did better with the shots this time. Screamed when he got them, but once I cuddled him for a minute, he settled down. This time we asked nurse Jeanie for blue bandaids - so Jackson got blue Snoopy bandaids and that make everything much better (we did not want pink bandaids again). :) And he tried rice cereal - and did really well with it! We're hoping adding this rice cereal to his diet is going to be the key to sleeping through the night. We'll see.

Today is also my dad's birthday - we went to eat on Sunday night to celebrate my grandmother's birthday as well (see pictures below). Happy Birthday Dad!

4 Months Old & Fun Visit with Aunt Jen

Jackson is 4 months old today - I can't believe it! We have our 4 month check-up/shots tomorrow, so I'll post the "stats" as soon as I can. . .

Jackson had a great week last week - lots of fun time with his Aunt Jen and Mimi. Thank you, Aunt Jen and Mimi, for keeping Jackson entertained all week! He loved the attention. :)

Jackson at Work

Mimi and Aunt Jen brought Jackson to visit me on Friday! We had a great lunch and then Jackson got to meet some of my work friends - we went to a lot of different offices to show off Jackson. Then Denise and Emerson happened to be at the hospital, so Jackson and Emerson got to meet! Emerson is one month older than Jackson, but I think Jackson is bigger than Emmie!























Mom took the above picture of my dad and Jackson about 2 weeks ago. My dad is already teaching Jackson how to multi-task!

My Masters Outfit

Aunt Mandy (my college roommate) gave Jackson this precious Masters onesie! Isn't it so cute? It's still a little big, but we just really wanted to put it on him this past weekend. Thanks, Aunt Mandy, for bringing this all the way back for Jackson!

July 4th Fun

We had so much fun on the 4th of July! Well, Jeremy had to work - but Jackson and I hung out at my mom and dad's house. Uncle Matt played with Jackson and kept him busy! My Aunt Jen and Uncle Joe have been in town this week, so they also helped keep Jackson entertained (Aunt Jen and Mimi kept Jackson all week - so he's been spoiled - more pictures to come).

Uncle Matt decided to take Jackson for a swim. It had just rained, so the water was a little cool. Jackson wasn't very fond of the pool, so he only stayed in for a minute or two. We'll have try it again soon!

Jackson Meets Joe

Tuesday night we finally got to meet Joe. Jackson looks like a giant (again) next to Joe. Jeff and Beth - Joe is so handsome. We enjoyed hanging out with you guys and watching you with Joe. Thanks to Jay and Jan for the great meal. It was good to catch up with you guys. Jan - thanks for holding Jackson while I ate - and I'm sorry we didn't get any pictures of Lucy! :)

Jackson Meets Judson

We had a great time this weekend - and Jackson got to meet his cousin, Judson! I have to say that it took great coordination to get their pictures taken (one would be asleep or eating or fussy - most of the time that was Jackson's fault). We are so glad that we got to spend some time with Heather, Jarrod and Judson. They are doing great! Jackson looks like a GIANT next to little Judson, but I know it won't take long for the little guy to catch up.
