Girls Weekend

My college roommates and I try to get together once a year.  This year, we all went to Meredith - she had twin boys almost 5 months ago (she already has 2 older boys - that equals 4 BOYS y'all).  :)  We had a great time just catching up and hanging out.  Manicures & pedicures, lots of food and lots of talking - all on the agenda for our girls weekends.  I so enjoy spending times with these ladies - we only see each other once a year, but we always pick right up where we left off.  Love these girls!!!

Swimming

The boys have enjoyed swimming this summer! Jackson took swim lessons and loved his teacher, Ms. Amy. He's been practicing at Mimi and BB's pool and told BB the other day, "I'm really good at swimming now, because I was teached good." :)

Grammy's 90th Birthday

Grammy turned 90 on July 8, 2012! We had a party for her at the retirement home where she lives. She enjoyed visiting with everyone, and even had some of her dear friends from out of town come to celebrate! Jeremy had to work, so that is why he is missing from the family photo.  Henry enjoyed the chocolate Hershey's kisses. :)

Henry - 18 Months Old

Our sweet Henry is 18 months old! Today he went for his well child check-up. He is growing consistently, and remains a small guy: almost 23 pounds (11%) and almost 33 inches tall (58%). You can see in the photo below that Henry has his first black eye. Big brother accidentally got him (pretty good, I might add) with a golf club. Doctor says it will be black and blue for about 2-3 weeks!

Henry's 1st Haircut

Henry is 18 months old, so we decided it was time for his hair to be cut. I was sad to see the sweet curls go away, but it was hot and just beginning to get a little wild and crazy (his teachers said that hair went well with his personality!). Sweet boy did great sitting in the chair. My babies are growing up. :(

Before and After

Washington D.C.

Jeremy and I went to Washington DC for a few days at the end of June. Jackson and Henry stayed with our families, and they had a great time, too! We've spent the last few days trying to get back into our routine. :)  We did not get any really good pictures of the two of us together  - but lots of photos of historical sites!  We had a great time - walked a lot, went to lots of museums, ate at some great restaurants, and completely exhausted ourselves.  It was fun!

We brought back some books to the boys about Washington DC and the Presidents.  We also brought them back some sheets of money from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.  Jackson was terribly disappointed that he could not "use" the money.  Maybe one day he'll think it's cool.  We had a great time, and I can't wait to go back in several years and take the boys (when they are older)!
