Cousin Judson - I am so sorry that both Daddy and I are sick and can't come to your cupcake party tonight! I know that you are going to have so much fun. Tell your mommy and daddy to take lots of pictures so that I can see them. Love, Jackson.

Watch Out Tiger. . .

Jeremy was off on Tuesday and played golf with his friend Mitchell. After golf, Jeremy decided that it was time for Jackson to have his first set of golf clubs. So, off to Academy Sports he went and picked up a cute little Snoopy golf set. This should hopefully keep Jackson from dragging Daddy's putter all over the house. Tiger Woods, get ready!! :)

Birthday Twins at 15 Months

We met Lauren and Sydney for dinner last night - the kids were really good at dinner. Jackson and Sydney waved to each other. And then they even gave each other "kisses" - I can't believe how big they are.

Walking???

Jackson has been taking steps, but has not been very confident in his walking ability. :) He's been walking, but only if he holds on to things (your hand, furniture, walls, etc.). His teachers told me today that he was walking short distances pretty often today. I captured this on video. . .I was getting his bath ready, so I bribed him with one of his favorite bath toys!!!

Father's Day 2008

Happy Father's Day! We hope that everyone had a good weekend. We are pretty tired. Grammy (my dad's mom) ended up in the hospital this weekend, so I think it's worn out the fam. Please keep Grammy in your thoughts and prayers. More details to come. . .

We did get together to celebrate Father's Day for a little bit tonight. Uncle Matt finally got Jackson to enjoy the pool! I guess the third time is the charm (at least this summer, anyway.).
Then Jackson became enamored with climbing up and down the stairs.
And splashing Uncle Matt was even more fun!

15 Months Old

Jackson is 15 months old today. We went to the doctor for his check-up and shots. He weighed in at 24 lbs 1 oz (50%) and was 32 inches tall (75%). Doctor said he looked great - although he was very fussy as he's beginning to know what the doctor's office means - shots!

And for all you mom's with boys - any tips on getting rid of stinky feet? I took Jackson's sandals off when we got to the doctor's office and was nearly knocked over by the smell. I can't believe I'm already worrying about my boy being stinky! :)
Jackson's Mimi is teaching VBS this week, and we went up to see her decorated room this weekend. This was Jackson's favorite part - the chair! Mimi and her friend went all out to decorate their room in a luau theme. Too cute!

Take Me Out to the BIG Ballgame

We headed out to a minor league baseball game on Sunday afternoon. Jackson had a good time. It wasn't very crowded, so he was able to move around! Being nosy. . .Jackson was staring at the people sitting up behind us.
We were only there for a little over an hour. And 15-20 minutes of that included watching the actual baseball game. The rest of the time, we watched the grounds crew spread the tarp out when it started raining. The wind was really blowing - and the tarp was knocking grown men down to the ground! Thank goodness that our seats were underneath the overhang and we stayed dry. Jackson was mesmerized by all the excitement.
I'm sure we'll go back again soon!
