Birthday Parties, Halloween Carnival and Packing

We've had a busy and productive weekend!

First on the agenda, birthday party for Walker (another fireman party, so fun!)

Next on the agenda, birthday party for Greer (aka Snow White) - please notice how uninterested Jackson is in wishing Greer a happy birthday. The popcorn is much more important. :)

Getting ready for the Halloween Carnival at our church!

Jackson is a FIRE FIGHTER!

Jackson was super-excited to see his school friend, Luke, at the party.

Luke and Jackson went fishing. . .

Watched the other kids play basketball (while trying to wait patiently)

And we watched Daddy work his shift at the Velcro wall. He and Kirk were worn out after basically throwing kids up to that wall for 30 minutes. :)

All that Baggo practice at the Searcy's helped with the bean bag toss!

Daddy got to do the slide this year (Jackson didn't want to go by himself). Mommy said that last year was her first and last time to do that slide. :)

And last, but not least, we spent a lot of time packing boxes! Most of you already know that we are moving - next weekend is the big move. Lots of stuff to organize, pack, move and then re-organize. Whew, I'm tired already. . .

Going Private

It's time to make the blog private. You will all still be able to look at the blog, you will just have to log in (by using your email address). Send us an email if you are interested in being added to the list to view the blog.

Race for the Cure

This past Saturday, Mimi and I took Jackson out to Race for the Cure. It was a little cold, but we all had a good time!

B.B. was playing the tuba with some of his friends from church (he plays in the church orchestra each Sunday), so we stopped to say hi. Jackson wasn't really sure what to think (he looked like he was about to cry here). Mimi thought it was because we were waving at B.B. and he couldn't wave back (because he was playing).
Jackson kept telling me the rest of the afternoon - "B.B. played the big bugle." Ha! :)

A Good Weekend

Jackson got a haircut (look at first picture and then compare to this one). We went to Gray's 3rd birthday party today and had so much fun. There were 2 fire trucks there - wow!

Jackson was super excited to spray the water hose. . .

And to ride the fire truck! Yeah!

This picture is just for me to remember. Jackson is really into pretending right now. Here he is pretending that he is "driving the car." Jeremy was serving as the car door - and had to open/close his legs (aka "the door") upon Jackson's command. Jackson kept saying that he was "putting things in the car" and loaded LOTS of random things onto the couch (pillows, toys, etc.). Jeremy and I were dying laughing.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We took a trip to the pumpkin patch with Judson and Heather yesterday. We had never been to this one, but it was a winner! Lots of fun and we got a few cute pictures (although getting two 2-year-olds to stop and pose was a challenge). :)

Hayride out to the pumpkin patch. . .
(They really did like it, I think they were just a little nervous at first)

Picking out just the right pumpkin

Not looking at the camera. . .

They had a little playground with lots of slides/swings for the kids.

John Deere tractor - Judson's favorite!

We just happened to run into our birthday twin, Sydney, there - we sort of made the kids pose for a picture. Neither one was very interested in having a picture made. :)
