Picture

Jackson has been sick - not fun. Yesterday and today, he dug my camera out of his bag - and brought it to me while saying, "Picture? Jackson?" And both times, the pictures actually turned out pretty cute. Evidently, he's into sticking out his bottom teeth. :)

Remembering

On Friday, I found out that my college friend, Kristi, passed away. She was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in October, just after giving birth to her 3rd son. Both she and her family have constantly been in my thoughts and prayers. Since Friday, I've been remembering the good-ole-Baylor days. Remembering the first time I met Kristi. Remembering some of our conversations. Remembering her smile and laugh. Remembering how real/genuine she was. Remembering her faith and love.

And this afternoon, I remembered some more. When reading my friend, Kimber-Leigh's blog today, I could just hear her reading those words aloud to me. Thank you, Kimber, for helping me reflect upon Kristi's life.

Kristi's memorial service was today and I know that her family truly celebrated her life. Please join me in continuing to pray for her family - her husband, her 3 sons, her parents.

23 Months Old

Jackson will be 2-years-old exactly one month from today. I can't believe our little boy is so big. :)

Saturday Fun

We had such a fun Saturday! Jeremy took Jackson to the Nature Center this morning (while I went to a baby shower) and then they had lunch at the Flying Fish. Such a fun outing. . .

This afternoon, we went to Emerson's 2nd birthday party! The kids had a great time.

Big Boy Slide

Jackson always wants to "play" when we go to Chick-fil-a. This week, Jeremy was trying to talk Jackson into climbing up the steps and going down the slide (but Jackson was a little hesitant - and I was too!). A sweet little girl (3 1/2 years-old) coaxed Jackson up the steps and showed him how to go down the slide! And she waited for him at the bottom to make sure he was okay (see the video at the bottom). He loved it - he did it over and over and over. . .

Birthday Twins at almost 23 Months

Saturday afternoon, we got together with Lauren and Sydney at the park down by the river. Our original plan was to go to Chuck E Cheese, but it was so nice outside (and the line was so long at Chuck E Cheese), we decided to enjoy a fun day outside! The kids had a great time running around. We laughed about how big the kiddos are - they will be 2 in a little over one month! Wow!
